Facilitating Learning

The commonly used apparatus consists of the microscope, various types of lenses, Bunsen Burner, distillation apparatus, full body mannequin, full body skeletal / joint system, models of respiratory/digestive / excretory/ reproductive /nervous systems,  models of various organs, solar system model, day-night model, lunar / solar eclipse model and many more.

The students are taught to handle apparatus and instruments in a meticulous manner under the supervision of the teacher.

  • English Classes: English is the need of time as it is a global language. Special emphasis is given in the form of spoken English classes, Reading Story Books, Dictation and Reading Comprehension.
  • Progressive homework is printed and distributed to students every day.
  • Story books are distributed to children every Saturday to inculcate reading habits and they are asked to summarise it in the class to improve their composition abilities.
  • Recitation: Students are made to recite poems and to act narratives on stage in order to improve understanding and confidence.
  • Debates / Elocution:Regular debates / elocutions are carried out to improve the speaking ability and increase the confidence of student.
  • Unseen passages for practice are given every Friday to improve the student’s comprehension and summarising skills. Such passages are very helpful for the competitive exams.
  • Regular Class tests and revision tests (before exams). Students who excel are rewarded for encouragement.

Medium of instruction and conversation is English.

Music

  • Instruments: Instrumental lessons in Guitar, Flute, Rock Drum, Congo, Tabla, Harmonium, Casio (Organ), Bugle, etc. by trained musicians.
  • Singing classes in all variants of music like Classical and Western.
  • Special Music/ Instrument classes on Saturdays.
  • School Band: The best students in Music represent the school band at various events.

Dance & Drama

Dance and Drama lessons are also available for all its variants.

Sport

  • Outdoor games like Cricket, Skating, Badminton, Table-Tennis and Basketball are a part of the co-curricular program
  • Indoor games like Chess, Carom, Dart are also provided.
  • Karate is compulsory for students of UKG and above classes.

Cultural Activities

  • Festivals: To encourage students to be proud of their heritage and imbibe a strong cultural value, all festivals are celebrated in the school with equal enthusiasm and fervour.
  • Art and Craft: Rangoli, dance, card making, clay modelling, painting competitions are organised on the eve of festivals and holidays.
  • Summer camp is carried out every year during summer vacations.

  • Visit to Zoo, Botanical Garden and places of scientific learning such as Planetarium, Science City etc. are organised as and when required.
  • Other activities such as Pizza making, Painting Competition etc. are conducted by school.

Healthcare

  • Health Camp: Regular Health camp (Ear, Nose, Throat, Full Body General Check up, Dental Check up , Nutrition counselling and Body growth Check up by companies such as Horlicks ) is carried  by qualified doctors.
  • First aid is available at the school.
